We will be changing how SK’s Validity Confirmation Service functions
As a result of the change, the Validity Confirmation Service (available at ocsp.sk.ee) will no longer issue validity information for Mobile-ID and Smart-ID authentication certificates. If you make a query for the validity information of Mobile-ID and Smart-ID authentication certificates, then the service will reply the certificates’ status as “UNKNOWN”. We implemented this change because the authentication protocol for Mobile-ID and Smart-ID does not require that you check the certificate’s validity information. Additionally, this is important for ensuring the security of online services that support the use of ID-cards.
We have made an exception for existing customers who have made queries for the validity information of Mobile-ID and Smart-ID authentication certificates. In case you need to continue using the ocsp.sk.ee service for authenticating Mobile-ID or Smart-ID within any new services or IP addresses, then please get in touch with SK’s customer support. This change does not affect customers who are using the open access version of the OCSP service, which is available at aia.sk.ee.
The change will be implemented on 16.02, 2021 at 23:00.
